Ambassador: Russian businessmen face rising number of limits in UK

LONDON, Mar 22 (PRIME) -- Russian businessmen are facing an increasing scope of restrictions in the U.K., Ambassador Alexander Yakovenko said at a briefing on Thursday.

“The Russian households, entrepreneurs are handling their issues. We see an increasing number of restrictions on their activities in the U.K. They are puzzled, some of them scared,” Yakovenko said, adding that the embassy recommends they solve any grave troubles with business in courts.

The Russian–U.K. relations became tense after poisoning of former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury. U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May expelled 23 Russian diplomats and announced a freeze of all bilateral contacts on the level of high-ranking officials.
